Gail joined Semefab in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. Throughout her career she has held various roles in Finance Management within the Semiconductor Industry.

She is a versatile, analytical and commercially focused finance professional with extensive experience in financial management, system implementation and business process engineering.

Gail is responsible for the support functions of the company, covering Finance, Procurement, HR and IT.  She also sits on the Board of Directors providing strategic oversight on financial and risk matters.

Gail is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Allan James

Allan James

Founder and Shareholder

Allan is founder and shareholder of Semefab Ltd. A B.Sc (Hons) Physics graduate from Southampton University in 1973, Allan started his career in DRAM development and manufacture at Mullard Southampton and ITT Sidcup, moving into Silicon on Sapphire technology development at GEC Hurst Research Centre in Wembley and MEDL in Lincoln until 1982. He then turned to Wafer fab management at General Instrument in Glenrothes until 1986 at which point he established Semefab.

Graeme Shaw

Graeme Shaw

Chief Executive Officer

Graeme joined Semefab in 2017 as a Senior Process Engineer, progressing to Process & Development Engineering Manager, Chief Operating Officer and on to his current role as Chief Executive Officer. He also sits on the Board of Directors.

He graduated with BSc (Hons) in Applied Physics from Strathclyde University, Glasgow in 1988. Graeme started his process engineering career in the Semiconductor industry at GEC Hirst Research Centre then after graduating, with Motorola/Freescale Semiconductor MOS9 in East Kilbride, Scotland. He gained experience of shift working, progressing to Senior Engineering and then Management. With responsibilities of both Process and Equipment Engineering teams in Diffusion, Probe & Final Operations, Thin Films & Implant and Etch departments.

After leaving Freescale Semiconductors in 2009, Graeme joined Merpro/NOV in Montrose, Scotland in the Oil & Gas Topsides sector. Here he gained further financial and planning experience as an Engineering Project Manager responsible for projects worldwide.

Alan Forsyth

Product & Test Manager

Alan graduated from Glasgow University in 1989 with a B.Eng (Hons) in Electronics & Electrical Engineering and then joined National Semiconductor in Greenock as a Product Engineer. In 1994 he joined Seagate Microelectronics in Livingston as a Snr Device Engineer, working on BiCMOS & Bipolar and technologies. In 1999 Alan then moved to Semefab as Product and Test Manager, which includes responsibility for all test production, development and Product/Device Engineering activities.

Angela Over

Angela Over

Sales and Operations Planning Manager

Angela joined Semefab in April 2008 as part of the Business Improvement Team and was promoted to her current position in April 2009. This position looks after production control, sales orders, customer service and shipping. Angela’s career spans many different industries and roles in Industrial Engineering/Production Engineering and Production Control. Previous to Semefab, Angela was a Senior Business Unit planner for 5 years at Wolfson Microelectronics in Edinburgh.

Angela received a B.Eng (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering from Brunel University (1991), and is a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).

Brian Koczubik

Brian Koczubik

Facilities & Equipment Engineering Manager

Brian’s career with Semefab started in 1998 where he was brought in as the Equipment Engineering Manager. He worked for a number of different companies within the Semiconductor Industry previously; Hughes Microelectronics and Seagate Ltd, in the role of Equipment Engineer. He then worked for Varian Associates and Shieldcare Ltd, where Brian moved into Field Service Engineering, working in a variety of different wafer-fabs across the UK and Europe.  Since 2005 Brian has also had the responsibility of the Facilities Engineering Group as well as Equipment Engineering within Semefab’s plant at Glenrothes.

George Smith

George Smith

Production Manager

George Joined Semefab in 2003 after a thirteen year spell in manufacturing as a team Leader with Strand Lighting. He joined Semefab as Probe and Test Co-ordinator where he quickly set up good 5S practices within the area. He was promoted in 2007 to Production Manager where he is responsible for the three manufacturing areas and a 5S team. He continues to drive 5S and Lean practices within the company.

Ian has been with Semefab since 2010, starting as a Senior Process Engineer and progressing to the management role within the Process and Development Engineering Department.  Ian has a BSc in Physics with Honours from Strathclyde University and over 30 years industry experience.

Kevin has a BSc in Industrial Engineering and a Postgraduate Degree in Quality Engineering. In addition to over 30 years experience in quality assurance, Kevin is certified in Six Sigma–black belt, 5S and experienced in a variety of quality analysis methods.

Business Development and Marketing Manager

Roisin joined Semefab in 2022 and brings over 10 years experience in technical sales and account management. Her experience in a variety of sectors including Electronic Manufacturing, Human Diagnostics and Foodservice strengthens her knowledge and provides a unique approach to her role. Roisin is a strong sales professional with a Master's Degree in Occupational Psychology from the University of Leicester, as well as certifications in Organisation & Management, Entrepreneurship and Finance from Queens University Belfast. Roisin is responsible for global sales and marketing. In addition to developing new business to increase customer base and turnover, her focus will be on managing and developing strategic partnerships with existing key customers to maximise potential and ensure overall quality of service.

Ross joined Semefab in 2023, having 20+ years of IT experience, in both technical and management roles across a variety of sectors such as electronics manufacturing, game and software development, veterinary services, energy and defence. With multiple certifications in project management, IT and cloud technologies, Ross’ goal is to ensure that Semefab’s information technology systems and services enhances all areas of the business as well as maintaining a strong and effective security stance in today’s rapidly evolving cyber threat environment.

Neil Wotherspoon

Neil Wotherspoon

Business Development–USA–West Coast, South East to South Carolina

Neil received HNC Chemistry from Kirkcaldy College of Technology, continuing his studies in advanced chemistry at Napier University, Edinburgh. He moved to the United States with General Instrument - Microelectronics division in 1975. In 1981 he joined Advanced Micro Devices in Silicon Valley, where he still lives and works. During his career he worked at Integrated Device Technology, VLSI Technology, Silterra all in the areas of process development, process engineering, yield improvement managing teams in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Neil held the position of VP, Business Development at A2IC, a Silicon Valley analog start-up, competing in mobile power management market space. He recently returned from Brazil having set up Ceitec SA, the first IDM company in South America.

He is a proud member of the "26.2 mile" running club and enjoys reading, food & wine and sport.

Doug Pike

Business Development–USA–North West, Mid & East Coast to North Carolina

Doug graduated from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA with a BSEE and MSEE with Honors 
in 1973 and 1974.  He started in the Microelectronics industry in 1975 with NCR Corp in
 Miamisburg, OH and then continued his over 40 year career in Silicon Valley joining
 Siliconix and later General Instrument as Wafer Fab Engr Mngr developing state of the art
 Bipolar and optically sensitive devices. In 1986 he joined start up Advanced Power Devices 
in Bend, OR as Device Development and Process Engineering Manager, eventually taking on the
 role of Director of Wafer Fabrication Operations. In 2006 he came to Linear Technology as
 Process Engineering Manager of Linear's primary wafer fabrication facility in Camas, WA. 
Doug retired and formed his own business, DAPike Engineering in 2013 and Semefab was his
 first client for which he continues as the North American Business Development Manager.

Michael Huang

Michael Huang

Business Development–China

Michael Huang graduated from Xiamen University, Xiamen, China in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Semiconductor Physics.

He studied English in the Philippines and then stayed in Manila as associate chief editor for a Chinese news paper called Chinatown News for 10 years. In 1992 he went back to Xiamen and worked for an aluminium rolling mill as assistant to the GM for 2 years. Michael then started his own business collaborating with many state owned large companies for importing and exporting aluminium foil and strips, importing alumina for processing in cooperation with aluminium smelters to produce aluminium ingots for selling in the futures market. He also did some business in the printing and packaging industries related to aluminium, like PS plate and aluminium foil laminating. He formed a trading company in Manila for printing materials with 2 local partners and the company is still running. The company is the sole dealer in the Philippines for the biggest PS plate/CTP plate maker in China.cSince 2008, he went in to the LED lighting business in which both aluminium and semiconductors are employed: aluminium for heat dissipation and semiconductor for LEDscIn 2014, he helped a Xiamen LED manufacturing company to obtain supplies of Semefab's light sensor product. He formed a company Semicraftxm as Semefab's dealer and Business Development Manager/ Sales Representative in China in 2016.

Michael has a background of semiconductors, has maintained good contacts in many major cities in China and is well experienced in dealing with officers of Chinese government, Customs officials and customers. He is expected to play an important role in helping to develop the China market for products and services from Semefab.
