How to Work With a Foundry

ABSTRACT: Semefab is a Silicon wafer foundry operation manufacturing microelectronics and Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) in Glenrothes, Scotland.

We will discuss how to work with a volume foundry business model and a technology commercialization business model.

Also addressed will be how to utilize the test floor supporting wafer test and package test. Examples from MEMS; MOS; Bipolar; Opto-CMOS; ASIC and discrete Technologies will be used to illustrate how a foundry can be a value added partner throughout the full technology cycle. We will also discuss how a foundry can help reduce cost and time to market for new products.
